Brassia Leaves Turning from green to yellowish
Default Brassia Leaves Turning from green to yellowish

Brand new Brassia (not sure what kind) it was doing fine about a week then today I noticed the leaves are all turning yellow...please help I don't want to lose this plant. Also the flowers from the bottom are starting to wilt could that be because they opened first? Please tell me about light, watering etc for this type of orchid.
thanks,
Robi

Hi Robi and welcome to the OB. I have several of these plants and they are fairly easy to grow. These I have found to like to be watered regularly but allowing to dry out between watering. I fertilize 2 times a month with half strength fertilizer. The yellowing if probably due to stronger light then what it was getting prior. The second picture looks like the leave has a small sun burn spot. They like strong light but not direct light at the hottest part of the day. The flowers dropping could be due to age but over watering, to much sun or fertilizer will have the same affect. Good luck

Hi Flhiker,
Thank you for your response, the plant was actually not near any window it was in indirect light I just moved it to a window that faces East. Which is where all my orchids are and do well there... I sure hope it stops would hate for all the leaves to fall off...

thanks again
