LOL... and you know it is in a room at the back side of the house where the other houses are closer. I have no curtains (as most of the Dutch houses does) and because I am active at strange hours, it must be weird for them to wake up to go to the bathroom and see me watching closely my orchids in the middle of the night.

They should see me when I was breeding rodents and insects some years ago.

I'm late always, just came back with the dogs. During summer I often inspected my orchids with a flash light (outdoors), even watered them when it was very hot. I dried the laundry on a line at 3 am LOL etc. Years ago I had a huge group of ferrets and they were very tame, I handled them every day and once I heard neighbors say to eachother that I had a group of rats.

My orchid lights went on on 4 am ;-), 4 x 36 Watt in the beginning. That is a huge amount of light when it reflects to white walls LOL.

Don't know what I'm: the ferret lady, the dog lady, the plant lady... I don't mind ;-)
They are all very surprised when I tell them about my orchids, how many I have, that I grow them under lights, they I'm waiting for orchids from France, United Kingdom or like now from Austria... heh.... Even the mail man know's its either pet products or plants that he delivers here :-)

Neighbors are always very curious but hopefully Dutch people accept uncommon things more easier than Greek people for example (I am Greek).

I had many reptiles in the past but now I have declared that I will no longer keep animals inside cages. The only ones that I still keep are two Tarantulas that I brought with me from Greece two years ago and my sweet Penny, a female Tibetan Spaniel but of course she is not living inside a cage.

And to remember our subject, I post today pics from the beautiful bloom of my Phalaenopsis NOID. Her first bloom in my hands.

Nice to see your Phal's are responding well to the light! Did you know what color this NOID would flower for you? Seems pretty when she fully opened the bud.

I knew it was kind of whitish because some of the withered flowers were still on the plant when I rescued it, but I had no idea of the exact colors.

I believe tomorrow it will be fully open.
