Water Paph daily or not

I have a Lawrenceanum Paph, I have read that they need to be kept moist it is growing well Just want to keep it so.it had finished blooming when i got it.How often do they bloom.Thanks TOMD

That depends on so many factors I hesitate to give advice. Your best tool for determining whether your plant needs watering or not is your finger, followed by your hand and forearm. Stick you finger about a half inch into the pot, and if it feels wet, don't water. If you aren't sure if you should water or not, go ahead.

Forearm test... Water your plant well, lift. That is what it feels like wet. Wait until it needs watering again (is approaching dryness). Lift again. This is what it feels like dry. You can stop sticking your finger in the pot if you get a feel for how heavy the pot should be.

Bright indirect light, water it appropriately, repot it once a year, and it will bloom at least once a year, probably more often on a larger plant.

I use a turgid method. Very easy, just take a leaf of your plant and touch it well -- if it feels soft and easy to fold -- your plant needs watering. If it is hard and erect -- then it's fine, wait some more time before watering it. With more practice you'll easily recognize whether your paph needs watering or not.

The frequency of watering is really a function of how the plant is planted! To illustrate:
I have a P. delenatii that is mounted onto a branch. It gets watered every day, twice a day.
I have another one that is hanging out of a wire basket sitting just below the roof of the greenhouse. There is some wood products mix in the basket. It get watered at least once a day.
I have another one that is in a plastic pot of bark. The plant is so overgrown in the pot that it has grown up and out of the pot and so the roots are exposed. It may get watered once a day or maybe every other day.
I have several plants in mostly net pots. They only get watered occasionally. Reason why is that I mist heavy every day twice a day to pop up the humidity into the mid to high 70%. They get "rained" on. When in growth I do check the pots and will water with the sprayer right into the pot if it looks dry.
My attitude is to have net pots, a mix that drains right off, high humidity, use quality water, and temps from 60F-80F+.
Also it may be interesting to check out the weather in S.E. Asia where the plant comes from (in nature) to learn about the rainfall amounts, the highs and lows (which during this time of year are not all that different!).
