New Vandas! - Orchid Board

soooo i was driving the other day and happened to spot a 'rose and orchid' shop... decided to stop by today just to look and see what they had

i came across an awesome, hole in the wall, orchid store (not roses)... they had mostly dendrobiums, which were in full bloom and a good 3-4 feet high! she had 7 vandas that were in bloom and i just couldnt resist taking these two home!!! one has an awesome color and the second just has massive flowers!

Do you have any photos of the store? what were the price ranges? only blooming sizes? really like!

you must have really small hands or those blooms are really huge!

thanks!! haha my hands are pretty average for a woman.... i wouldnt call them small though!! ill take another photo next to my phone or something so u get a better idea!! hahaha... i did specifically buy this plant because of the flower size... ive seen a ton of vandas now from loads of different people and these blooms are probably some of the biggest ive come across....

i thought the prices were really fair, both were $30 each... i even think thats a pretty good deal! ive easily paid $46 for the same size plant...

this place has no website or isnt located on google search or anything... the woman that runs it is very nice and was thankful to have me stop by... will definitely re-visit her... she has 8-9 vandas out that were flowering but i spotted a whole wall full of vandas that werent flowering... does that help?? i can get her information if anyone wants....
ill go back and ask her if its ok if i take some photos to post online... so check back!!

I think I always see here photos of blooms / plants close up but it would be really interesting to see photos of nice stores / nursery. outside in context with the urban landscape, photo of the owner. plants inside on shelves. so it gives an idea what kind are for sale, how many, how big is the store etc etc...
