It most likely works. I've only tried it once on a bunch of my plants not too long ago.

I can safely say I'll never do it again because of how messy it was. Cleaning the cinnamon off was a nightmare.

There are cleaner methods like Listerine, H2O2, isopropyl, or ethylene.
