Hello
I've started my winter care for all of my indoor plants since the heat is already sometimes being used. They all get watered and fertilized as needed but my tropicals and Hoyas also get put in the shower about once every 2 to 4 weeks (whenever a slow day happens and no one is around) and showered, fertilized, then left for a half hour or more depending upon what the plant likes. The ones I do this for really seem to appreciate it in the winter. Our house ranges between 50 - 60 % humidity during the winter, I use humidifiers if needed which work good, different rooms have different temps by plants needs
Would any of the orchids I have like this treatment? I haven't done this to them before because I wasn't sure. I have quite a few phals (no?) 2 dens, 2 paphs (1 going to bloom won't do it to that one!), a couple catt alliances and onc alliances. I do this already throughout the year for hwra, tolumnia, and neostylus and they definately love it.
I know this is a no no if there are any bug issues etc, any questionable plants do not get included. I have found tho that this does keep spiders, etc. in check for the winter and rarely have any types of problems with my tropicals.
Thank you
