I have wanted to order some nice "named" orchids for a long time, instead of just having noids, but have never got around to it. I have dicided on ordering a Blc. Rustic Spots, a Otaara Jane Fumiye "Hawaii" AM/AOS and a Paph. Ho CHi Minh! I cant wait till they arrive!
Oh dont worry i will! i was thinking of planting the catts in s/h because i have a bunch of the clay pellets and i was wondering if it is hard to grow them in s/h?
Some people do OK with Paphs in s/h and others have a hard time. I would be careful with this one.
The Rustic Spots likes light level a bit lower than other Cattleya, otherwise the leaves turn red. The Jane Fumiye were in bloom for me last month and are probably finished blooming for this season.
Ok thanx for the tips I wasn't planning on putting the paph in s/h I was just going to leave it in bark like my other one is. The web site said that both should bloom more thatn once a year... so well see!
I've ordered from Clouds several times, and they've always been great healthy plants.
I don't know if you've heard of them or not, but there's a great orchid vendor in Calgary called Paramount Orchids. If you're looking to save money on shipping you might look there next time. They have an online store you can find through Google.
