Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone has had a recent experience or two with orchids.com. From everything I can find on here it has been hit or miss, with most of the misses being a couple of years ago. Just hoping someone could give me a recent update before I place any orders. Thanks!

I don't have any experience with orchids.com but I recently ordered from Andy's and I would HIGHLY recommend them. My plants both look beautiful and are putting out new growths!

I recently ordered an Angraecum in bud or bloom and received it with very sad, older blooms. It wasn't the first time I ordered from them and was disappointed, but it will be the last. There are many other places to buy orchids that are much better and probably cheaper.

Well that's what I was afraid of. I just feel that everywhere I go, there is always some issue somewhere. I would rather not even order them online, but get them in person, but obviously some of the more unique orchids are more difficult to find. I'll check out Andy's as I've heard mostly good things from them.

If you have any questions at all, just call them up and ask for Harry (it's andy's brother). they are more than happy to answer any and all questions! They return your call pretty quickly. Best of luck!

After getting several orchids that were positive for viruses, or of generally poor quality, I've stopped ordering from Orchids.com.
Andy's is always a good bet, depending upon what you want - they are generally more expensive than others, however. Check out the growers from Hawaii - they tend to have great, healthy plants for great low costs. Again, depends upon what you want!!!

I tried a mini Catt from them last year - arrived with brittle, dried out, unhealthy roots. After unpotting it, I found there were some strange brown centipede-like bugs in the medium. Can't recommend them, to be honest - especially since they're not cheap. I'll add my vote to others' for Andy's Orchids: top-notch plants, stellar personal service. Hope that helps!

I had a bad experience with Orchids.com last year. Won't go into details. Andy's definitely gets a recommendation from me. I'm also a big fan of Oak Hill Gardens.

I recently received an order from Ha'iku Maui Orchids. Beautiful, large plants and a nice size gift plant also. Well packed and swift delivery.
Yes, I'll go along with other comments, there are plenty of growers out there who will give you nice plants, reasonably priced with rapid shipping. No need to risk your time, money and effort on questionable companies.

There are a number of really wonderful vendors...of course I agree with everything nice that folks have said about Andy's place...love it I also really like getting deliveries from Oak Hill Gardens, I.N. Komoda and Exotic Orchids of Maui just to name a few
