I've had a few bad experiences (I usually will give a vendor a second, maybe third chance) and NO good ones with them . . . so I am finished with them.
I would recommend Andy's, Oak Hill, I.N. Komoda, Santa Barbara, Clown Alley, J & L, Woodstrean, Orquidesa del Valle. I've had only positive experience with all of these.
Clown Alley,Oakhill,Andys,New World, lots of really good vendors out there.Sounds like a no-go for O.com. What were you looking to buy?I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction, Brad
Oh, honestly I was "window shopping," and had remembered some people who said good and bad on occasion, so I thought I just go ahead and ask for some opinions. But I agree, it looks like this is all but settled, and that there are better options out there. Thanks for all the thoughts!
If you're in the market for cattleya, I have ordered from Carmela's and all 11 plants arrived well packed and in excellent condition. They have sales during the year so if you watch their site from time to time you can get some nice deals. I ordered my plants and received 10 - 4" catts for $80.00 S/H included, 2 of which are currently spiking and one has grown a keiki; the 11th plant was in a basket and cost $12.50. I have also purchased plugs from them with very good success.
