keikis on Dends- what to do with them?

I have several Dends that are sending out keikis. I know that the ones along the plant should be cut when the roots are big enough but what about the ones growing from the bottom of the plants, should I leave those alone? Will they become canes that will flower? Some of the dends are 1 cane only, that are starting to turn brown at the bottom but the keiki is not big enough to cut off of the plant yet.
Any advise is appreciated.
