Default keikis on Dends- what to do with them?

I have several Dends that are sending out keikis. I know that the ones along the plant should be cut when the roots are big enough but what about the ones growing from the bottom of the plants, should I leave those alone? Will they become canes that will flower? Some of the dends are 1 cane only, that are starting to turn brown at the bottom but the keiki is not big enough to cut off of the plant yet.
Any advise is appreciated.

Can you post photographs of your plant ?
It is very difficult to tell what is going on without photos.

I'm not sure if I understand - but plants growing from the base of your plant is new plant growth and should be left. Sorry if I have mis-understood the question. Pix are definitely helpful

You might also look at your culture. Though some dens keiki naturally, in many cases keiki's on dens mean the plants are unhappy. Often this is from watering too often or fertilizing when they need a rest. Are they nobile dens?

Your basal keikis will turn into new bulbs and should not be removed. The keikis on the upper part of the bulb should be left on so that the mother can take care of them until they're big enough to be on their own. They say the keikis should have three inches of roots before they can be planted on their own. That can mean several roots an inch long or a few roots three inches long. However, you can leave them on the plant longer and let the mother take care of them until they grow strong.
