Hi
I purchased a gorgeous Miltassia Dark Star "The Orchid Works" from the Parkside Orchid Fest. It has 4 spikes and the first one is just starting to bloom now. I've never grown one before but the care seems to be similar to an Oncidium but it needs less light? It's currently in the house in an east window where it gets about 2 hours of early morning sun. I just wondered since I'm in PA zone 5 and summer will be disappearing soon if I should be doing anything at this time of year to help for blooms NEXT year? Should it have more light? Should I put it outside with my other Oncidiums? (they are outside east deck with light from 9:30-12:00 and seem happy) or put it outside with my phals under 50% shade cloth same east area? I'm really enjoying the blooms indoors but would love to get other blooms later!
Thank you!
