Default fungicides

Hi All,

So, it looks like my stanhopea has some kind of fungus. I looked it up online and the pics I saw and the descriptions seemed to match my plants ailments. However, they recommend some fungicide that I have no idea how to obtain. So, will a general fungicide work?

Thanks.

Is the fungal infection topical or systemic?

Fungal infections are not common on Stanhopea so I also am wondering.

If you can give me the name of the infection or the chemical they recommended I can tell you what it is.

The problem is that chemicals like thiophanate-metyl and iprodione based fungicides have been used so long that we have developed super-resistant strains of fungus and the chemicals even though they are often recommended no longer work.

For a single plant I would wipe the leaves with alcohol and cut off any active infections. segregate the plant to prevent spread, most fungus are air borne. Use good cleanliness,
