If it gets wet, blot with a paper towel. I usually have a fan on low to help airdry the last bits.

make sure to sanitize hands and tools after touching affected plant

Water early in the day, provide good air circulation, and keep the above mentioned paper towel handy.

If you are able to care for mounted plants, there are many that would prefer being mounted...upside down...and no water ever gets into the crown

With my fat fingers getting a paper towel into some tight crowns to blot up water is sometimes a problem.
So I use a straw to blow any water out of the crown and off the leaves.
Plus after watering I up the air flow (fans) until the plants are dry.

I use toilet paper in tight spots. Just get a sheet and let it absorb it all on its own. No need to push it in . I use the corner and it sucks whatever water is in there up.

Me three. It's best to try and avoid getting any water in the crown to begin with.

Best overall method hands down, in my opinion, would be to mount your Phal.

Then you can watch most of your problems with growing them fly out the window.

Won't even miss them one bit, nope.
