Any idea what it is? I don't have a clue. Looks fairly healthy, though.

I also have one that looks very similar. It came as a gift from someone who get it at a gift shop in Hawaii. There were two "bulbs" in the package and only one actually made it. As best I can tell, its commonly called a bamboo orchid that is not native to Hawaii but grows very commonly in SouthEast Asia. Mine keeps sprouting additional vegetative shoots but no flowers.

I believe that is a Dendrobium hancockii. The real one, not Den hainanensis (I believe Den odiosum is the more correct scientific name for the Den hainanense which has a shorter leaf with more rounded tips), or the few that look similar.

Can you post a pic of the entire plant?

Your plant has a kheiki by the way.

The leaf shape, the canes, the kheiki are all clues to what I'm going by. If it is the true Den hancockii this is a fairly large plant that can get to be about a couple feet tall.

Do they look like the plant in these pics?

I think it a bamboo orchid Arundina graminifolia/Arundina bambusifolia. It has Cattleya-like flower.

my first thought was the coconut orchid Maxillaria teneflora. We would have to see the bottom of the plant to see if it has pbulbs.

by the way 'bamboo orchid Arundina graminifolia/Arundina bambusifolia' is not an orchid at all and grows to 10-12 feet tall. I find it extremely hard to grow from small bulbs sold from Hawaii.
