Producing stems and leaves!?!:S Female
Question Producing stems and leaves!?!:S

Well I sort of got really busy and ignored my orchids for a couple of weeks and two of them produced stems.

One of the phals is almost ready to bloom because the buds are quite large, however it is now producing leaves?

Is that normal, shouldn't its energy go into producing the flowers.

It's getting east indirect sun and a weak fertilizer with each watering....any ideas?!!

Thanks

Yes, as Snow says it's quite normal.

One of mine which is flowering just now is also growing a new leaf.

It seems some Phals will do that, others won't but it seems it's happy anyway.
