Hey Rolando,
Thanks for making me feel welcomed... I am really enjoying my cymbidim, and have been trying to source other warm loving specie, but they are difficult to source.

I am truly enjoying being on orchidboard as growing orchids is my passion and this forum makes me realized that I'm not alone.

Hi Bingo,
I now have two big pots of the Golden Elf!!! Cymbidium, however thrips were giving me a hard time by damaging the blooms. I have now taken care of that and they are blooming again.
By the way, which is correct Elf or Elm. I need to get it right, I am just not good with the names hence most of my collections are NoIDs.

I don't know for sure. The Elf was a typo on my part.
Maybe someone else who knows will jump in.

Keep posting pics of your beautiful chids.

Thanks Snow, I really feel welcomed.
I have several reasons for getting rid of my beautiful roses and hibiscus.
1. I give my orchids special attention and as a result my other plants suffer.
2. The lenght of time my orchid blooms last, prove to me that they deserves the all the attention they receive.
I still have other plants though, it's just that my roses bed is now becoming a (sun) vandaceous and mokara bed, and it's looking beautiful already and it's not yet completed.
