Question Monthly Blooming Calendar

I've been looking for a calendar somewhere (anywhere!) where it lists what orchids bloom in what months. I'd like to plan my orchid purchases in a way where I have lots of blooms in the house (culture permitting) year round if it's possible . . . or if not, as close as I can get.

Anyone know of any listings published/posted anywhere?

Thanks!

Hi Beth, Here's one for Paphs. Of course they can't read, and don't always follow it.

Maybe I'll do some research and start compiling them into one space. . . .there's an awful lot of 'em though!!

But I'd really love the house to be in bloom year round.

Most schedules I've seen for orchid blooms are based on seasons, not months. And that would be if you do most things right and have acclimated the orchids to your environment.

i have a book - four seasons of orchids by greg allikas & ned nash (i think so that's the title). it has listings of what orchid bloom in what season... of course, its not applicable to malaysian climate. i buy it solely because it has the most amazing pictures!

The Baker's culture sheets let you know which months are the blooming months for each species. I suppose you could make a calendar out of that information.

Thanks everyone for your replies! I think I'm going to use all the info here and start making my own stat sheet on it. If and when I ever it completed, I'll see if I can post it here where people can access it easily. I'll probably limit the list to orchids that can be grown inside the house though, just to make it manageable. Hopefully I can do it in a way that people can add to it if they want to.
