Default To mount or not to mount? Neo. falcata is the question.

Hi everyone. I have a Neofinetia falcata seedling coming in the mail from Olympic Orchids, WA. I was wondering if I should let it sit in the pot for a while or if I'd be better off mounting it early on? I got my hands on a great piece of wood - something you'd see in a lizard terrarium, basically. Seems like it'd do well as mount. Anyway...just curious if I'd be better off leaving it alone for a few months or if an immediate mount might be wiser.

Also, any special tips on mounting Neos? Any help whatsoever is superb. Thanks to everybody in advance.

-Ry.
