So, this is an off the wall question sort of...
But Latley (the past 4 days) we have had pretty much near constant cloudy weather here and very frequent downpours. I live in north eastern Alabama and keep my Orchids outside, I have 3 Vanda Hybrids, 2 Phallies and a Dendrobium that are doing very well... even moreso lately with the storms...
I have noticed that there has been an explosion in growth suddenly, with all the orchids. One of my phallies alone yesterday I noticed had grown 5 new root shoots OVERNIGHT (they are stubs all around the base comming out more and more), my other Phallie is suddenly growing a new leaf, and more roots, and my dendrobium is growing roots like MAD, also, the Vandas (which are very new) are doing very good too, Im seeing new root growth all over the older roots, new tips are being produced.
and One of my phallies (same one that grew 5 new root shoots overnight is flowing now, only 2 flowers, its already flowered once this year)
... i this typical?
I find it odd... Much like this strange smile thing..
