One of my phalaenopsis orchids seems to be growing a baby orchid. It's got one little root coming out of it. How long do I need to wait before I can remove the baby orchid?? Should I water the baby as well as the main plant??
Orchid baby or Keiki, you can remove from the mother plant and pot it but not until they've developed several roots a few inches long. Misting is good, but it is feeding off the mother plant so watering is not necessary. What a sweet surprise
