Default Don't this I received a Kenneth Schubert

I received the two orchids I ordered, a Dtps. Kenneth Schubert 'blue star' and a Phal. Equestris. I'm pretty sure the Phal is exactly what it should be, but the Kenneth Schubert looks like it's probably something else. The longest leaf is ten inches long - and the crown does not look like a phalaenopsis crown. . maybe a dendrobium? The leaves are not rounded like a phal is, they are long and slender - heh. . . like a dendrobium.

I'll try to get a pic of it in a bit to edit to this post. . but if you have a Kenneth Schubert 'blue star' could you please post a pic of the actual leaves?

Thanks!

Heh. . title should be: Don't think I received a Kenneth Schubert

Here are the pics I promised, sorry they are so late - yesterday was a long long day.

This one is for size comparison - this gent is in a 4 inch pot and has a gallon milk jub behind it.

A picture will be very helpful but in the mean time, many phals. have long slender leaves. Not very unusual.
Will be waiting for the pic.

Kenneth Schubert is heavily dominated by the Doritis pulcherrima parent in all respects, including leaf shape, growth habit, and spike habit. It will form a clump due to basal keikis, as well.

Sounds fine to me. I have 8 spikes on mine!

Thank you everyone for you notes, you put my mind much more at ease. . .everywhere I read said that it's a very small orchid that grows very slowly - so I was expecting maybe six inch leaves at the outside most. Though I'm fine with the leaves being bigger since I fell in love with the flower.

I posted pics above in the original post.

Thanks again!

That's a very nice looking plant. May I ask where you found it?

I purchased both this Dtps Kenneth Schubert 'Blue Star' and the Phal Equestris from Ironwood Estate Orchids - in North Carolina.

I was looking ALL OVER THE PLACE for a mature Kenneth Schubert and finally found her through an image search. I called and talked to the owner at length - very nice lady.
