Dreaming about Brassavola Nodosa

I’m thinking about adding Brassavola nodosa to my collection. Right now I’m in the research phase and I’m not sure what would be the best medium to grow it in. In most pictures I have seen it in a baskets or some type of slab, is this the only way it will grow?

I would want this for my office, which means I would need a plant light, any ideas on how to do this & what type of light would be needed? Also, can anyone recommend a trustworthy vendor? I live in Florida and would like to stay within the state if possible (I’m trying to reduce shipping time).
