Default New purchases and some advice needed.

Ohhhh it's so good to be back here - I've been swamped with stuff - bleh.

I just purchased a Dtps Kenneth Schubert (I've drooled over this one for a while now, and finally took the plunge and ordered it!) and a Phal Equestrius - both should be arriving this week. **excited**

I am going out to shop for them today to make sure I have the correct size pots - (will be purchasing terracotta) and enough mix, and a new balanced fertilizer -

Both are mature blooming size plants - do any of you have any suggestions of what size pots I'll need? I have a compact NOID Phal upstairs that is currently living in a four inch terracotta pot - and is doing quite well. Is this about the size I need?

Thanks!

Both my Dtps. Purple Martin 'Kenneth Schubert' and my equestris have been in small 4" pots for a couple of years. The equestris definitely needs to move up a pot size. The PM is a pretty small plant even at blooming size, but I think I will move it up a pot size as well. The PM does not like having any water left on it's leaves. I make sure and dry each leaf surface before putting it back on the rack. Enjoy your new plants!

Thanks, Terri!! Your timing couldn't be more perfect! We're about to leave to go pick up supplies.

Thanks for the heads up on the PM about water on the leaves. Big help! I really don't want these kicking the bucket if I can help it. My little NOID *Little Lady* is doing great, so I think my confidence is high enough to start getting what I really want.
