I think it does have one. And another that is green inbetween black sections. It is such a huge plant ~ it makes me so sad the roots are in such bad condition. I do not think I have the knowledge needed to save it.

Yes, they were. I am assuming I am going to have to fight to get some money back.

The thing that surprises me the most is that the package was not marked as containing live material in any way. What the heck is up with that???

Hey Roly, how are you long time no see. I know you are not talking about our own Royal right? PS next Tues Bob Hatos will be speaking at the Homestead O.S. meeting I hope you go.
Kathy I'm sure you can save it with some patience and a couple of living roots. Vandas are pretty tough, they even survive me.

Hi Joe !!! It's not the board's Royal Orchids but if you go on eBay and type orchids you will find plenty from the Royal that I'm talking about really cheap and tempting but a trap.

Kathy don't give up. I know you are disappointed but your plants may likely pull through will a little tlc.

Were they shipped bare root or in some kind of material?

Bare rooted and wrapped in paper. No other additional material. Thank you for your kind words. I do very much appreciate them.

Kathy, can you list the plants by picture?
There are a couple of them I think I would try in water culture to get some roots started.
