I see a couple of good roots, try to repot in the smallest pot that the roots will fit into, use only the bark, and water once a week.
No
misting, try to keep any direct draft from your fan off of chids, you just want the room air to circulate. You may have to anchor it in the pot. but they can recover. They like to be real crowded, for example I have one that is two ft tall (3 bulbs)in a 2" pot, with 22 blooms. A little extreme but it thrives.
I have saved several rescues from the box stores and as long as the stems don't go soft, it is alive, just give it time. The first thing I do is get it out of the spag, and into a smaller pot. The plants are sold by pot size and they are usually a small plant jacked-up to a bigger pot selling for more money..You certainly have a lot of different ways to choose from Good Luck!
