Hi

I am looking for orchid books on: Nicargua, El Salvador, Honduras, Guyana, Suriname, French Guinea, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina.
Any recommendations appreciated

One of the more specific books I've seen is Orquideas nativas del Tachira (a western Venezuelan state) by Cesar Fernandez. (cafb@telcel.net.ve)

In addition to probably selling his book, he can likely give you lots of good references you may be seeking.

I think the best series on these areas are the "Icones Plantarum Tropicarum" which cover most of these areas in south america.
Also the "field guide to orchids of Venezuela" by Dunsterville is great,as is the field guide to orchids of Costa Rica/ Panama by Dressler.
Many more are out there,but you could do a lot worse than start with these.
