Root growth hormone
I'm trying to avoid paying shipping and handling costs for orchid supplies and I went to 3 different stores today looking for Superthrive or KLM for when my phals are done blooming and it's time to re-pot. No one had it. Either they had just stopped carrying it, or they had no idea what I was talking about. All that I found was this stuff (see attached photo).
Is there an actual difference between these products. Is it worth spending money on exorbitant shipping or should I just go with whatever I can find?

I think I saw superthrive at Home Depot in my area. I know I have got it at the local hardware store.
KLN don't think you will be able to find - or that has been my experience.
I Have been told the powder is too strong for orchid ? idk - works great for rooting other plant cuttings tho
You might check out ebay - I bought KLN there and shipping wasnt too bad - at least was better than from other online vendors

Saw KLN on ebay-- search for The HydroStore (I have no affiliation with these folks but they have great service, from personal experience). Superthrive is also online but usually quite expensive if you count in shipping.
The powder varieties for general rooting is usually too strong for what the orchid needs. Kind of like trying to light a 60 watt light bulbs with a kilowatt of juice. You'll see a flash but then plenty of nothing.

Be careful on eBay.
I did a quick scan and found an 8-ounce bottle of K-L-N for $14.95 with free shipping. I sell it for $10. Granted, it would cost more that $4.95 to ship it any distance, but if purchased with other stuff, the delivered cost can still be lower - and I don't mean just from First Rays.
