First off I'd like to say thanks for all the feedback from my earlier post.

My indentified orchid ( a Den I was told ) has went from this :

to this :

but I am worried about if I should be doing something with the new growth hanging off?

2nd, I rescued anouther orchid ( I think I might be addicted) it was at lowes on clearence so I took it home and repotted it. So far it has lost 2 blossoms and a leaf + the leaves on that stalk all look a little sickly but there does look like it has a bit of new growth I hope

Good job, way to grow!
Are you refering to the new roots growing out of your pot as the "new growth hanging off"? If so, just leave them alone..it's normal.
Good luck with the rescue, looks like you're doing fine.

Well you're doing better right off the bat with your Dendros that I was at first. I almost killed my first one untill I got some help from the nice folks here and now my Dend. Norma Jackson x Pink Sunshine is doing great and has all sorts of new growth just like yours. That only took about 7 months of screwing up that plant. I totally messed up it's spike forming timeframe. So now flowers on that one for me this year. Maybe this winter I can get it to perform for me!

What ever you're doing with your plants, keep on doing it! It seems to be working for you.
