Question???
Red face Question???

I bought my first orchid last summer it bloomed and everyone was so impressed by the delicate flowers. Then the as the flowers fell I read online that you were suppose to cut the stem. Well I did and it has not bloomed. I know nothing about orchids keep this in mind. What should I do. I know it's alive but wheres my beautiful flowers.

Do you know what type of orchid it is?
Pics are also very helpful.
Also how much do you water? What type of media is it potted in? How much light does it get?

Ok good
most llikely is a phalaenopsis

moderate light - no midday sun tho please!
let media get near dry before watering -
if you haven't repotted it ever - you may want to do that as well. Use a well draining pot and well draining potting media - most people prefer medium fir bark chips

LOL
posting a pic of the plant - even without a bloom is helpful too
its most likely a phal and they are easy to identify as a phal by just the plant usually
