Default NEW ADDITIONS TO MY FAMILY...WOULD LOVE SUGGESTIONS FROM OWNERS WHO HAVE SIMILAR.

Hey Guys,

I just finished going to an auction with the Orchid Society of Southern California, and man oh man did they have some amazing orchids....

I left with a Paph. Ho Chi Minh, an Australian Little Black Sambo, two outdoor cattleyas, and finally a Paph. Hybrid (supersuk 'winowy' x mod maude 'mostest').

I am super excited about my additions (will add pictures later)...but I have so far only dealt in a dying Belleara Eurostar (dying before i got it) and I have two beautiful Phals (Little Gem Stripes x Phal Taisuco Eros) one is in full bloom and the other just dropped its blooms. So I was wondering if anyone has owned the same species as my new orchids and if so what do you suggest in the care? Any tidbits would help. Thanks!!!

Cheers
Jessica

Hi Jessica, Nice haul you have there. Your 2 paphs should do just fine in the same spot as your phals. If you can give them a tad more light than the phals, that's even better. Good luck!

Paph (Supersuk x Mod Mau8de) has been registered as Paph Maude's Magic, so you can simplify your label a bit.

Little Black Sambo is a really dark cymbidium that is a primary cross of Cym canaliculatum and madidum. The two species like bright sun and probably intermediate temperatures.
