Default Reputable Vendors - Dendrobiums and Phals
I've been looking at web sites 'shopping' for my next orchids I'd like to get. . .and I'm nervous about buying.
Could you please suggest some reputable vendors/sites you've used and were happy with the orchids you received? I want to make sure the orchid is healthy, and that I get what I request. Are there any sites I should definitely stay away from?

Hi Beth, are you looking for specific plants?

Big Leaf Orchids IMO is the premier grower in the US for Phals. You will pay a bit more for them but Peter has excellent plants.

Dens I would say check any of the Hawaiian growers. H&R has an amazing selection from the Latouria section of Dendrobium. Carmela Orchids has a nice selection of hybrid Phal type Dens as does Exotic Orchids of Maui.

Oak Hill has a very nice selection of just about everything, as does Parkside and Andy's.

I'll third Terri's answer. Big Leaf is simply the premier site. Oak Hill is also excellent. I trust both completely. Peter Lin, at Big Leaf, is, in a word, amazing.
