Suprisingly I've only been growing them for about a year now, I started off with Phalenopsis in Arizona but my first one died (root rot) then I got the Orchid for Dummies book and have been doing good since.
Thanks I think they are beautiful as well. I still go into shock when I hear that people sometimes throw out their plants when they've stopped blooming!
I've decided to add more since I have a total of 20 orchid plants now. Some haven't bloomed bloomed but I have pictures of what they will look like when they do =0] FYI "Fantasy Orchids" in Colorado has an AMAZING Collection. You can also purchase them online via fantasyorchids.com Thats where I've gotten my orchids for the most part.
