Ok, so I bought some orchids at a local show that I hope I'll be able to keep up and alive
I do have one cattleya that has a curled textured leave that is leaning towards yellowing. More leaves are yellowing and going soft brownish mushy. I noticed today that the other leaves are getting this texture (kinda like leather) and the curled one is curling more and more. Otherwise the plant looks good!
I also bought a dendrobium which is growing well, but its leaves are getting reddish on the top? Is that normal? Its a parishii. It also has a spike coming up, should I be staking it so it grows up straight? right now its curving. And how big can I expect this plant to get? its soooo tiny!
All of them are in a bark mix and have east light. Its been really hot which I thought they would like, but maybe too much sun? They've been getting water approx every 5 days (depending)because its been sooooo hot, with growing food as suggested by the grower. They also sit on humidity trays and get a bit of misting on the bark...because its been soooooo hot!
Did I mention that its been REALLY hot???
