Well, I just could not resist! I just bought one......6 inch pot for $50.00.
How hard is it to grow the "Dove orchid".
Does anyone had any success with this beautiful plant? Would a bright, west window be enough for it to flower?
Thank you in advance.

I had one when I lived in the tropical state, Kerala, India. It was in a pot in the front yard and did well. I loved it and miss having it here. I have no idea what the climate in your locality is like, but I really hope it thrives. Good luck and happy growing!

I have my plant spiking and as soon as it opens I will post pictures.
I grow this in a south facing windowsill in winter and in the warmer months it is outside on the fire escape. Manhattan is very hot and humid in the summer and dry in winter....so I have an electric humidifier with an oscillating fan help moisten it.
Weekly weakly fertilizer with seaweed mix.
This can grow really tall leaves about four feet length and big baseball sized bulbs; my plant was just repotted last spring in a 12 inches diameter pot with seven mature bulbs and four new growths.
