Default What is a Yamadara ?

I've never heard of these. I saw a baggie plant called Yamadara Queen Adelia with a spike comming on with 3 buds. The picture was of pretty yellow/orange flowers so it came home with me. Are they fragrant ? No matter the flowers are nice but frangrance is always a plus.

Thank you for any help,

Eric

I just did a google search and Yamadara apparently is an intergeneric hybrid of:

1. Brassavola
2. Cattleya
3. Laelia
4. Encyclia

I double checked on Orchidwiz and found the same thing.
If you want to be more specific, your plant is
25% Brassavola fragrans
12,5% Encyclia altata
12,5% Guarianthe aurantiaca
12,5% Rhyncholaelia glauca
10% Cattleya dowiana
and the rest is a mix of various catts (9 of them) a Sophronitis, and another Rhyncholaelia

Queen Adelia Has gorgeous blooms, you did the right thing to bring it home! I didn't find anything about fragrance. Also according to Orchidwiz, the commonly accepted name is now Maumeneara, but you get no google info using that name!

Thank you Cam and King. I'm sure I'll be very happy with it. Maybe somebody that has this chid will chime in with some info.
Thanks again,
Eric
