My new paphiopedilum!!!

My partner and I just returned home from a trip to Asheville, NC (which was gorgeous, to say the least). On our exit from North Carolina we stopped at Owen's Orchids. While at Owen's, I picked up a new addition to my rapidly growing collection, a hybridized paphiopedilum - THE FIRST IN MY COLLECTION!

Visiting Owen's Orchids was something to behold! They have three greenhouses open to the public and numerous others for growing facilities. Best of all, they are located in Pisgah Forest, NC which is only 29 miles beyond Asheville. Not TOO far at all especially to purchase a new orchid. LOL...

AND, she is currently in spike to soon produce a bloom. HOW EXCITING!!!



I can say this much about my trip: I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Owen's Orchids. AND I do believe it is safe to say that each visit to Asheville will incur a stop off at the greenhouses in Pisgah Forest on my way home!
