Its been a while since I have been online cause i have been so busy but I just HAD to share this
I thought it would never happen. I saved the Den from my moms back porch about 4 years ago and it was in bad shape. I switched to s/h about 6 months ago and grew a great big honkin cane (about 3 times the size of all the others)... i thought it was doing so well but over the past 3 months it grew 3 new canes and they all died at about an inch or less. I was so frustrated so i told her that she was not getting watered till i saw some progress. After about a week and a half- 2 weeks i saw a new cane growing so i resumed watering and it quickly grew to about 3 inches and stuck out some roots. THEN as i was rearranging my plants i saw that the big honkin cane was about to bloom, I have a 6" flower spike with a bunch of buds. I'm so excited that after 4 years of nursing it back to health its finally gonna bloom for me and all i had to do what threaten it
I may use this as a strategy for some of the others....
