sorry
it's possible they may relist - I would do an ebay search for 'egret' under the orchids category - you can save the search and be notified by email of new listings for it

Van Bourgondien and the Wild Orchid Company have it on their catalogue although they list it as out of stock. It may be worth contacting them to see when they'll list it again.

Thompson and Morgan are the main UK suppliers but I don't know if they export. I tried growing these last year, but all I got was leaves. The flowers will not be as big as the pictures in the magazines, so I hope if you can't get them your Mum is not too disappointed. They like to be constantly moist but free draining and they come from mountains where there is rainfall all summer and winters are cool and drier - they lose their leaves and the bulbs ( the size of raisins) may multiply

Good luck

Heather

Spring Hill Nursery has these, but I don't know if they ship to Australia. Spring Hill has a lifetime guarantee on their plants.

Egret Flower|Spring Hill Nursery

I hope this helps.

When you add up the cost of getting CITES, import permits, phytosanitary certificates plus the cost of housing the plants in an approved quarantine facility for a few months under the care of someone who is unlikely to know how to grow the plant as well as the mandatory methyl bromide treatment which is invariably lethal to terrestrial orchids, importing them into Australia is not a feasible option for the OP even if the seller is willing.
