Mango tree...? I don't know how much help you'll receive here about Mango trees in an orchid forum.
But I can tell you right now, unless it's tropical-esque in climate where you live in Pearland, Texas, you will have a difficult time growing Mango trees.
They don't like it when temperatures drop below 60 degrees F. If the humidity is good, I would assume the mangos get bigger.
i have a mango tree here in northern alberta and it really hates being over watered ! it has lost almossst all its leaves a couple times because of it.
Hi Josh, I really wish we could be of more help, but this is an orchid forum. I think that there are plenty of other forums out there which could better help you with your questions. Try general plant forums or ones that deal more with tropical/subtropical plants.

Josh, I don't what local factors could be affecting your tree but something that causes me problems is anthracnose fungus that can cause symptoms something like you are experienceing. Anthracnose thrives in wet conditions.
