Where to purchase orchid supplies via Internet

I need some supplies and am unsure of which vendor to use. Any suggestions from you all? I really need wooden hanging baskets with slats and the local stores don't carry them anymore. Thanks!

Hi there and welcome to the orchid board!!

Hmmm...I buy A LOT of stuff online. Some are better than others in quality, some in price, customer service, etc.

I buy a lot from repotme.com. Admittedly,their stuff is a little on the pricey side, but I just love them. They have FAN.TAS.TIC customer service. It's really outstanding. I recommend them for anything.

I also buy from Kelly'sKorner orchid supplies. for me, they aren't as on the ball as repotme, but they are also good, I suppose.

Then there's also OFE international, which I think has been around forever. I don't know their online side, because they are here in Miami about 20 minute drive from me.

Also, if you want fertilizer in bulk, or any chemicals, pots, etc., try firstrays.com. He's great also.

If you want custom-made pots, both for miniatures and not so miniatures, try Erinbonsai. I'm in LUB with them.

There is Tropical Plant Products in Orlando. I live close to them and they have been around for years. Nice folks. Good prices though I don't know if they are the cheapest.

I would agree with "Peeweelovesbooks":

repotme.com has excellent customer service and a good selection - esp of potting media, but they don't carry the wooden slotted baskets that you said that you were looking for. Their service is exceptional!

Kelly's Korner has the wooden baskets that you stated you were looking for. They have good service and reasonable prices on just about everything that they sell.

Can't go wrong with either vender in my opinion.

I just got my first order from repotme.com. Good product and great customer service. They actually emailed me to see if I had received the pots I ordered and if I liked them! Can't remember the last time that happened!

I also like Calwest Orchid Supplies http://calwesttropical.com/. Their prices and shipping are very reasonable and their product is good.

I use Green Barn Orchid Supplies in Delray Beach, FL Green Barn Orchid Supplies Potting Mixes Clay Orchid Pots Plant Food Fertilizer Baskets Delray Beach Florida They have a variety of supplies. I know they do a large online business since I'm in the store often and see them taking orders and packing the shipments. I have been happy with all their products.

You guys are great! That's exactly what I was looking for. When I did an online search, I was overwhelmed with different vendors. I will definitely check them out today and make a decision.

I buy my octogon wood vanda baskets from CalWest Tropical, in my opnion they are the best quality available and the price is better than most places. Service is great.

Hey, what about me? I carry baskets, and unlike some, include the hanger. Shipping costs from PA to VA beats CA to VA any day.
