Question clean leaves

What is better use to clean phal's leaves from dust? I have read something about lemon or milk but I'm not sure what is better.

I've heard both too. Personally, I stay away from milk. It just sounds weird.

Just for simple dusting I use a paint brush.
For deeper cleaning, RO water, weak tea or citric acid works real well.

Default Dusting

Other than removing the visible dust off the leaves, why is it important to thoroughly "cleanse" the leaves? How often should this be done?

I do like nature does........flush with water. Be sure to dry the crowns.

It's not needed. As a few posts said, they don't get cleaned in nature. But if you just emulate nature, you might never fertilize either.

I try to "clean" the leaves when I re-pot, bring a blooming plant inside, or if I were to ever take a plant to be judged (never have). It's mostly an aesthetic issue.
