Hi Pip  and welcome to orchid board! Those are nice plants. I really like the Alcra Butter Bud, and it sure does look like you've got yourself a peloric phal! Very cool

On another note... I'm from Wyoming. I'm "temporarily" residing in CA (since 2003 lol) and am itching to get out of here every day.

Yup...you have a peloric Phalaenopsis orchid!
I have a special fondness for pelorics

It being peloric doesn't change the way you care for it, regular Phal culture should be fine

Peloric (from our OB Glossary)
A term used to describe an unusual condition where all three petals (instead of just one) have developed to mimic the Labellum in shape and/or color.

Coined by Darwin to describe a mutant flower that has many planes of reflectional symmetry.

Hi ya Pip! Beautiful specimens you have there... Thanks for the sharing... Either way, identified or unidentified, the phal is a very nice find!
