Hello, I am no expert by any means. I have a young Angraecum magdalenae that I got over a year ago. Judging from my experience, this one is a very slow grower to begin with. If you don't have any roots and it still looks alive, I would spray the root area with KLN and plant the orchid in sphagnum moss in a very small container. (These are small plants). The sesquipdale is a much larger plant. Keep the moss moist but not soaking. Try to keep the humidity at least 50% and better if possible. It will be a long wait to see if it's working, but I have pulled a few seedlings out of the brink of death by using sphagnum moss to get them started. I think (don't really know) that moss has some healing properties and it's saved a few of mine. I swear by it. I have tried the sphag and bag before, but I always tend to cause mold and they rot. But that is just me not knowing what I'm doing. I would love to see pictures of your magdalenae. That would help alot.

I did hydro therapy recently on a little catt that I had that was suffering... After three weeks, she was loaded with new roots and the beginning of others, her leaves had plumped up and she seems to be doing quite well after repotting! Best of luck, Natasha!

kiki-do,
yesterday i repotted my angraecum magdalenae in a bigger new pot and add some sphagnum inside with the charcoal. the original pot is too small and the plant alway flop aside. humidity wise, i don't know, but all my smaller plants are put on the cat litter trays, which have water underneath and the plant are on elevated net trays. it seems to help the other pseudobulbs to root however, my angraecum is still green & alive i decide not to use sphag & bag method since i may forget about it. maybe i should add more sphagnum after work

learning2letgo,
what kind of hydrotherapy are you talking about? is it water culture? i would love to try those! can you give me the recipe? i think is very interesting and my fave shopping center is selling some nice glass containers with discounts

Yes, I'm talking about water culture... I put my catt on the windowsill in my kitchen in some water with some very diluted rooting hormone in it... I don't know so much if it was the hormone or the increased water itself, but it really helped her a lot...
