I don't pot my Phals. I can show you pictures, take what you can from them.

I can show you a before and after pic of my Phal. modesta var. coerulea (the first two pics). The only difference is the increased root mass.

The third is Phal appendiculata, it's a different one from the one in the first pic.

The last pic is my Phal tetraspis which has grown new roots and two new leaves. It's not the best looking, but I know it's a good plant. The flower spike is from last season, and for some reason has not dried out.

I just realized the pic of Phal tetraspis didn't have the spike showing. It's underneath one of the leaves.

I would say go ahead and remove the keikis as the posted videos show you and then repot the mother plant. If she still has thick, green roots in her pot she could still be salvageable. I don't necessarily associate an overproduction of keikis with a damaged mother plant, but that is something I did not give much consideration to King. Glad you mentioned it

I really hope the comments and suggestions made here have helped and will help you out! Oh, and yes, to the Orchid Board!!

Don't mean to hi-jack the thread so just a note to KING.
P. tetraspis can blossom from old spikes so as long as it is green don't cut it off. It should put out new spike(s) as well.

If you happen to have an extra or keiki from the P.
appendiculata I'd love to buy it from you...PM me.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled progam.
