Default Keiki or just a strange bract!!? Mutant plant??

Ok this is the plant but does anyone know the name!! But this plant was kind of like a freak one!! because at the bottom it has like 6 plants coming out of it.... which seem to be on the top of little dendrobium canes because I thought they were keiki's at 1st but the stem is way to thick for a spike!!! Then on the 3 spikes (the real ones)that are coming out from it, the 1st 2 dormant nodes have like a leaf instead of a bract so are these keikis or not?? And right now I am doing some stem cultures that is why I cut the spikes off but I didnt know if I should use those to leaf type nodes so I leaf them on there!! If you can help would be appreciated !!! But thanx for the input that was already given!!

I think you may have three plants growing simultaneously. And the thing that looks like a bamboo stick with leaves is a flower spike with modified leaves.

Yeah I was wondering because I took some stem culture of it and do not know what to name them?? And I anm new to the whole stem culture thing so I was wondering if I can just take one of those and put it into the media as a replate because it would already be a little advanced into the growth stage or should I just leave it on the plant as a keiki or is it just a worthless deformity !!?? Help would be much appreciated!! Thanks!!

Hi Ghosoff! I am not sure about your plant, i had a phal send up a spike with the same looking leaf on it, I thought it was a keiki at first but it never amounted to anything (after about four months i finally cut it off). I see you are in Denton. Its nice to meet another orchid enthusiast from little d. I actually live in Columbia Missouri right now but will be moving back in a few months!! Yippee! I miss that town so much. Good luck with getting an answer to your question, as i am curious too.

As long as you've got a node on any part of the stem, you can stem propagate away.

I'd be interested in knowing how your stem propagation attempts work. If you've got any new developments in the months to come, please do post.
