Hsinying Catherine "Hakucho" not re-blooming
Default Hsinying Catherine "Hakucho" not re-blooming

My Orchid is two years old. It was doing fine after its first bloom but then my neighbor soaked it while we were on vacation (I asked her not to water it). Two leasves were mushy, so I removed them. Ever since the new leave come out looking good but then they get ripply and lose their gloss. I water every 1-2 weeks and give it 1/2 cup of diluted plant food. It has an excellent Eastern exposure, but I could also put it in a Southern exposure window if need be. By the way, I am having great results with my other orchid which is not a Hakucho. Alas, what to do?!! Thanks, Anna Rose

Anna and to the OB !!!! I'm sure that we might be talking about Paphs here. If so I think that you might be underwatering and overfeeding it. But first I would need to know where in the States do you grow if you use humidity trays and how much light is it getting.

Thank you for your suggestion. I live in St. Paul, Minnesota. I now have it in my east window where it gets plenty of morning light and my Christmas Cactus thrive. I tried my south window at the kitchen sink but that seemed to be too much light. I just started using a humidity tray.
