Orchid collecting? Addiction? Yes it is! I bought another phal yesterday, which by the way was extremely HUGE to say the least and it is chock full of good roots!!! I finally wrangled the florist next to where I work to one-fifth of his asking price!!! I told him he'd never sell it anyhow, so he might as well GIVE it to me, so he said he'd make me an offer I couldn't turn down... AND I DIDN'T!! Just take a gander at her... I'm soooo excited....

Yeah, I know right? I measured it last night and can you believe that the tallest spike is exactly 3 feet tall? That's just amazing! And the other spike is almost that tall!!! I still can't believe I managed to get it home without breaking a single bud off of it... I looked like such a nancy driving it home... Driving super slow and with one hand on the plant in the back seat, so as the jostling of driving didn't shake her limbs too much

Oh! And he has another phal blooming right now, which is not a NOID... It's actually Old Grand Daddy and I GUARANTEE you I will have it away from the florist before much longer, too!
