my wife took my to a orchid green house today....I had a blast!!! but i got a onc. heaven scent 'sweet baby' and another Phal....But I have a question on the care on the onc. heaven scent 'sweet baby'.. the question is
how not to kill it!!!
it smells wonderful !!!!! and i love it...be kinda cause i know nothing about it and have only phals...

Congrats on your purchase! how about some photos of both the Plant & flowers! I water my oncidiums slightly more than my phals..but I'm sure the experts here will be able to help you more!

Yay herf!
For me oncidiums are very easy to grow! but then I can't grow a phal so different strokes I guess
But I find them to be very unfussy!
small grade bark mix that drains well- med light water when the medium is almost dry (mine have done well with weekly watering, but thats my conditions - more in hot dry weather)
fert weakly weekly - but flush pot once a month - oncidiums seem to be more sensitive to mineral salt build up as they have thinner foliage.

It's very pretty Eric, I love those sweet smelling Oncs! I have one that's supposed to smell chocolaty, and I'm impatiently waiting for blooms!
