Wow, wish my garden center had things like that. You are very lucky to live near such a great greenhouse.

Chas, 2 years ago I had 2 orchids Now... I don't want to count them, but I'll certainly find place for some more
I suppose most of us have the same problems in gardening stores... so you're not alone!!!
But I'm a bit jealous about this baby! Here you won't find nothing like this in garden centre! Maybe moving to Poland would be cure for you?

I love the plant, but that garden center is fantastic. If I lived near it, I would pack a lunch, go with a van...and credit card and be prepared for a whole day. I would love to be let loose is a place like that but I would need to eat beans and rice for the next month

Well Chas the plant is beautiful really Delicate ,
Just be sure the dog house is big enough at the get go mine is starting to get full. I bought a total of 13 orchids last week, an inoccent mistake I simply for got where all I orderd from. This was of course on top of the Greenacres order for which I was already in the doghouse for.
My punishment My wife took my 20 year old college student daughter to the mall, and they had a little uncontrolled spree. I was shocked when they got home a lot of nice things, but no orchids for dad so we'll see I think they are ahead now I HAVe to get EEEVVVVEEEENN

This reminds me of a phal I once saw in a GC which was suffering from over watering. The owner asked me what to do with it, and I gave her a few ideas, like to water it less! She picked the plant up and as she didn't really understand alot about 'chids, she handed it to me, saying she wasn't sure she'd keep it alive! I came home with a lovely freebie! Ignorance can be a good thing at times!! hehe!

Sad isnt It 30 years ago I had 1 then somehow it built up to about 150 then in 87 we had a bad winter storm, power was gone I-75 closed for 5 days it was hard enough to keep us warm .
I started over I ve lost count probably 200- 250 My wife just dosen't understand "why so many", since that was a loaded question that would require a lot of debate, I answered with a very low "cause". I pick on her a lot but she.s really a good gal great mother and works hard at work,my best friend along with my kids, so we play the Orchid game all the time now. I get grounded then I bring an Orchid in the house thats blooming and I say here I grew this one for you to enjoy, she smiles and says thats beautiful, I head for the Orchid catalog. There are deviations of the game but they are top secret.

Bob, that's too funny... At least you don't have to worry about moving out (just yet) if you buy any more

I thought I invented that game! I guess not. Hey Bob, try dabbling in propagation - before long she'll be begging for you to just buy some more "real" orchids instead of filling the kitchen with lab equipment.
My collection before OB had stabilized at around 30-35. Now I'm up near 200.
